Our 2025 Kidding seasonresulted in 6 healthy kids. We only bred three Does this year, due to my ongoing shoulder issues. We are thrilled to have 6 healthy babies bouncing around the farm, 4 girls and 2 boys. I consider the 2025 Kidding season a success.
We are keeping two of the girls, and the other two are already spoken for. We only have to find homes for two boys.
Lily kidded first
Lily gave birth to quads in the early hours of March 19. All 4 of the kids are black. Unfortunately, one of the kids, a girl, succumbed to the cold before we found them in the morning. The remaining girl and two boys are doing well.
We have named Lily’s daughter, Raven. She is tag #R13, and will stay in our herd. Raven will babies for us in a couple of years.
The Boys, R11 Rufus and R12 Rascal, will be looking for their own herds. They will be ready to go to new homes by July. They are very active Kids, inquisitive and bouncing everywhere.
Lily’s Kids are purebred Kiko Goats and can be registered with NKR.

Juniper was next to Kid
Juniper provided us with a single white girl on March 23. She is such a good mom, but I could tell she was only going to have one or two babies, as she was hardly showing.
We have not named R14 yet, but she is a big bouncy white girl. Her new owners will provide a name for her.

Jolene was so huge
As she is known to do, Jolene was hugely pregnant. She has had quads before and never quite regained her trim figure since… We thought she would have at least 3 kids this year.
Jolene gave birth to twin girls on March 28. Both are a light brown colour. R15 has already found a new home. R16 will stay with us, we are calling her Reba.

Jolene and Juniper’s offspring are Pure New Zealand Kiko’s
Growing and Playing
All the kids and their moms are now together in the big field. There is lots of playing and jumping going on. They are growing fast.
We are very happy with our smaller 2025 kidding season.
