Jolene Had Twins too!
This afternoon Jolene gave birth to two gorgeous kids. A coloured buckling and a white doeling. It was a smooth birth, and TGP Jolene is an excellent mother.
We now have 6 goats:
- our two original NZ Kiko does, TGP Juniper and TGP Jolene
- Two White purebread kiko Doelings
- A white Buckling and coloured buckling – both Purebread kiko.
Unfortunately we won’t be able to use the bucklings in our breeding program, as they are too closely related to our does. We will need to sell them eventually. But there is no rush – we want to enjoy them for a while!
Come fall, we will be in the market for a handsome NZ Buck for Juniper and Jolene.
Hope to bring them all home soon.
They are all still residing at The Goat Patch, about 5 hours north of us. As soon as Melissa gets a day off, we will head up to get them.
