I love my bucklings, all three of them. However, I can only justify keeping two. Although it might break my heart, Loki is for sale.
Loki will make a wonderful herdsire for another herd of ladies. I can’t use him for breeding as he is too closely related to my does.
TGP Titan Loki
Loki is my favourite of the boys! He is super friendly and very food motivated. His Dam, Juniper, is a fabulous mother and even allowed her niece and nephew to nurse from her in addition to her twins.
- Sire: LPR Hercules
- Dam: TGP Juniper
- Pure bred Kiko (NKR registration pending)
- DOB: 16 Apr 2021 Twin
- Birth Weight: 4.8 lbs
- 90 day weight: 39.3 lbs
- 1 year weight: TBD
Loki started out white, but as time goes by there is more and more red in his coat. It must come from his grandsire, EZK Red Ink.
Loki and his twin, Lily, are the friendliest of my goats. I think they get it from their Dam. TGP Juniper is a very gentle doe and fabulous mother.
You can see more pictures of Loki and the other bucklings in my prior posts:

Breeders have to sell goats…
This will be the first time I sell a goat. I will need to get used to it because next year I will likely have boys and girls to sell.
It is time for Loki to look for his own herd of lady goats.
I wish I could keep them all, but we don’t have enough room for a huge herd at this point. Maybe I can talk the family into more pasture space and additional shelters in the future… 🙂
